Bioconversion Process of Barley Crop Residues into Biogas—Energetic-Environmental Potential in Spain
نویسندگان
چکیده
Barley fields reach 1.7 million hectares in Spain, of which 320,000 are used to produce malt, generating 450,000 tons crop residue from barley intended for malt production. One way treat this waste an environmentally sound, energy-sustainable and economically cost-effective manner is anaerobic digestion. The biogas generated can be as fuel a renewable source energy (providing solution the supply problem environmental point view). It has been shown that, when treated along with sludge Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactor, produces about 1604 NmL per 100 g; content methane 27.486%. development process studied novel indicator, hydrogen generation, it determined that takes place two phases. demonstrated beginning energy-efficient therefore external uses regions have at least 6000 planted barley. At best, considered, given region, equivalent 115 MW power plant. could 10 thousand homes year. Therefore, considered com-plies Sustainable Development Goals #1, #7, #10, #12 #13. guarantees access isolated areas or problems, results 55.4% reduction emissions equivalent-CO2 (which equals 38,060 Spain).

Fungal Bioconversion of Lignocellulosic Residues; Opportunities & Perspectives
The development of alternative energy technology is critically important because of the rising prices of crude oil, security issues regarding the oil supply, and environmental issues such as global warming and air pollution. Bioconversion of biomass has significant advantages over other alternative energy strategies because biomass is the most abundant and also the most renewable biomaterial on...
متن کاملCrop management factors influencing yield and quality of crop residues
In the semi-arid tropics, over two-third’s of the world’s people depend on agriculture within which livestock play a major role in building rural livelihoods. Crop residues (fodder/stover) are important feed resources for ruminants. This review was undertaken with the objective of improving understanding of the role of various crop management factors in affecting the productivity and quality of...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Bioconversion of Water Hyacinth Hydrolysate into Ethanol
The fast growing aquatic weed water hyacinth, which is available almost yearround in the tropics and subtropics, was utilized as the chief source of cellulose for production of fuel ethanol via enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation. Fungal cellulases produced on-site by utilizing acid-alkali pretreated water hyacinth as the substrate were used as the crude enzyme source for hydrolysis of identi...
